Volkswagen has officially unveiled the ID.EVERY1 concept.

Characteristics of the Volkswagen ID.EVERY1

The ID.EVERY1 is built on the MEB platform, which is used in the ID.2all and ID.GTI models. It allows for the production of both compact hatchbacks and larger electric cars. Volkswagen plans to produce four models based on a front-wheel-drive version of the platform by 2027.

The EVERY1 is built on the MEB platform, which is used by the ID.2all and ID.GTI models.

The electric motor has a power output of 70 kW (94 hp) and a top speed of 130 km/h. The range is a minimum of 250 kilometers on a single charge. The dimensions of the ID.EVERY1 are 3.87 meters long, making it slightly larger than the up! model (3.6 meters), but smaller than the ID.2all (4.05 meters). There are four seats and a 305-liter trunk.

ID.EVERY1 will be Volkswagen’s first model with a completely revamped software architecture. According to the company, this will ensure the car’s «future-readiness» by allowing new features to be added throughout its lifecycle. The technology in question is likely to be developed in collaboration with Rivian, with whom Volkswagen has a $5 billion deal for the 2023 model.

According to Volkswagen chief designer Andreas Mindt, the ID.EVERY1 combines «bold but friendly» styling. The car’s design features expressive front optics and a «smiling» rear end, giving it a recognizable character.

The model is destined exclusively for Europe, however. Volkswagen has made it clear that the ID.EVERY1 was created «from Europe for Europe» and there are no plans to deliver it to other markets.

While it’s not intended for other markets, it’s not intended for Europe.
