Gemini 3 Pro update is out on Android, iPhone gets a new design
Google has begun rolling out Gemini 3 Pro in Android and iOS apps, and has activated new features including Gemini Agent and the @SynthID extension.
The Gemini 3 Pro, which the company calls “the smartest model ever,” appeared on gemini.google.com a day earlier. In the web version, the model selects from two modes, “Fast” for quick answers and “Thinking” for detailed queries based on the 3 Pro. The same names are applied to AI Mode: “Default” and “Thinking.” 3 Pro is available to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
Gemini 3 Pro on Android and iOS
On Android and iOS, the Gemini 3 Pro appears as a compact “3 Pro” signature, while the previously available “2.5 Flash” option remains in place. The “Fast” and “Thinking” designations are also present in the bottom bar. The update is distributed server-side, so you just have to force restart the app to see the changes. On Android, the update comes in both stable and beta versions of the Google App.

Gemini Agent and new tools
AI Ultra users now have access to Gemini Agent. There’s a new “Agent” item in the Tools menu labeled Labs. Additionally, Google has added new prompts like Stay organized, Brief me, Do tasks for me.
Simultaneously, the company began rolling out a new extension/app @SynthID. It determines if a media file was created with Google AI by reading the SynthID watermark. The feature is enabled by default in the Connected Apps list.

Gemini design update for iPhone
The company has expanded distribution of its updated Gemini design for iOS. The interface gets a new home page with a vertical layout of hint cards. The dark theme now uses a black background, while the input field has been left in a two-color design. The light theme has been given a light gray-blue tint.
The navigation menu now includes a “My Stuff” section that collects images, videos, reports, and other content you’ve created. The screen shows the three most recent results, and you can navigate to the full list.
